It’s “radishing”

A wrap I made with radishes

A big thankyou to my followers and a wonderful warm welcome to my new followers. I like food, I enjoy eating, but I also want to live a healthy lifestyle. Free from obesity. I want someone who enjoys a healthy diet to enjoy my articles and recipes. I want someone who is having weight issues to come read, enjoy and learn that healthy food can be delicious, tasty and flavourful. It doesn’t always have to be oil and carbs.

I also want people to enjoy my recipes without comprising their health. So each season or month I look for food, produce that is fresh and in season. One of the vegetables that have been in season lately are radishes. The interesting thing about radishes is that they have a peculiar flavour.

When you taste them, they have a cool taste like a cucumber and towards the end you feel a sudden sting on your tongue. So, I recently started to grate them and eat them raw in salads and wraps, apparently, they have some amazing health benefits.

For my wrap you will need

a tortilla/s

grated carrots/ thinly sliced, but grated is better

thinly sliced onions

Chinese cabbage

some chicken breasts

spices of your choice (paprika, black pepper)

Method

You take a non-stick pan, put some oil of your choice preferably olive oil or organic naturally pressed sunflower oil.

Heat, the pan, add some onions, stir fry, then add some thinly sliced Chinese cabbage, put in the spices and a pinch of sea salt. Lastly add some grated carrots; Don’t overcook the carrots. The crunch adds an interesting dynamic to the flavours. When it’s cooked remove from the stove.

Next, gently stir fry your chicken breasts, you can salt them flavour them according to your taste buds.

Now for the wrap take the cabbage, carrots onions stir fry make a bed, put the chicken breasts, and sprinkle some grated radishes. You can put the sauce or sauces you like for example ranch, barbecue or mayonnaise whatever you like.

Fold the wrap and you will enjoy. The portions are up to you, depending on the number of people you are cooking for.

That really tastes good.

Enjoy, share, and comment. Lets’ push for many reads and share with a loved one who is on a healthy lifestyle journey.

With that said and done “It’s a wrap!”
